What areas does Champion Services cover?
Champion provides residential and HOA waste collection across Northern Virginia — primarily Fairfax, Loudoun, Prince William, and Arlington Counties. Communities we serve include Reston, Herndon, Vienna, Oakton, Falls Church, McLean, Alexandria, Fairfax, Burke, Springfield, and Annandale. Not sure if your address is in our area? What day is my trash picked up?
Pickup days vary by community. If you're an existing residential or HOA customer, your collection day was set when service began. If you've forgotten or recently moved in, ask our chat on the homepage with your address and we'll look it up instantly.
What do I do if my pickup was missed?
Make sure your cart was at the curb by 6 AM, nothing was blocking it, and your community's normal collection day hasn't shifted because of a holiday. If everything checks out, report it through our Missed Pickup form or call (703) 239-8540 — our route supervisor will look into it and follow up the same day.
How do I start service?
For residential subscription service, use our Start Service form and we'll confirm availability + pricing within one business day. For HOA contracts, send us a message via the Contact page or call us directly — we'll put together a custom proposal for your community.
Do you observe holidays?
Champion observes only five holidays per year — New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. On holiday weeks, pickup is delayed by one day starting from the holiday. See our Holiday Schedule page for details.
Do you pick up bulk items?
Yes. Champion customers can request bulk-item pickups for a flat fee — couches, mattresses, appliances, etc. Some communities include a number of bulk pickups per year as part of their HOA contract. Call us or ask our chat for specifics for your address.
What can I put in my recycling cart?
Plastic bottles, jugs, and tubs (rinsed); aluminum and steel cans; cardboard and paperboard; mixed paper. Two important rules: no loose plastic bags or bagged recyclables (they jam our sorters), and no food residue or liquid (it contaminates the whole load).
Do I have to sign a long-term contract?
No. Champion has never required long-term contracts for residential service. Pay monthly or quarterly, cancel when you need to. We earn your business every month.
How do I pay my bill?
Pay online via our Pay Bill page, mail a check to our Fairfax office, or set up automatic payments by calling (703) 239-8540. Most customers also receive billing notifications by email.
